Dependency (SEPAD, Acronym in spanish). This unit was created by the Government of
Extremadura, to promote actions to prevent and manage situations of dependency that affects the
most vulnerable groups of population. It is assigned to the competent Department of Healthcare and
Social Policies, which is intended to exercise the functions of administration and management
services, geriatric incomes and programs as requested by the Administration of the Autonomous
Community. It is developing and coordinating social policies about disable and elderly people.

24.2. Erasmus + Sport, "Not-for-Profit European sport events" / University of Cyprus Sports
Center
The University of Cyprus Sports Center is looking for partners in order to submit a project
proposal under the ERASMUS+ programme call EAC/S11/13 Sport "Not-for-Profit European
sport events" (http://eacea.ec.europa.eu/erasmus-plus/actions/sport/not-for-profit-european-sportevents_en), with submission deadline 15 May 2014 (second deadline).
The project “Student´s Sports Festival” aims to organize a European-wide Universities Sports
Festival where University students will have the opportunity to participate in different recreational
and competitive sports activities, as well as in cultural and academic events. This kind of festival
will be a great platform where strong synergies between Universities from different countries and
social backgrounds will be developed, by fostering the friendship among the participants and the
collaboration among various stakeholders.
The objectives of the project are:
 To strengthen relationship, friendship and collaboration between North and South European
Union members.
 To encourage participation and social inclusion of students with different cultural, religious,
economical and social background.
 To encourage physical activity through participation in sports and volunteerism.
 To encourage equal opportunity via gender participation in the event.

To promote and support recommended policy actions in support of health-enhancing
physical activity.
To exchange ideas and good practices for sport programmes.
Partners sought: In order for the festival to be eligible for funding at least twelve University teams
from minimum twelve European Union countries have to participate.

The project “School climate, with a view to dropout prevention and education success” will be

13.3. Creative Europe, Culture / FemLink, an International women artists collective, MidiPyrénées Region, France

FemLink, an International women artists collective (based in Midi-Pyrénées Region, France) is
looking for partners to participate in its project of free international diffusion of an art book
(with DVD) about the collective.
The collective currently brings together 139 artists from 63 countries. Since 2006, FemLink was
introduced in more than 90 arts centers and museums across the world.

FemLink’s principle is the following: for each topic chosen, about 30 artists (each one
representing one country) will create a 2-minute-video that will be used for a common artwork
called a “collage-video”.
Since 2005, the collective have already produced 8 collage-videos on different topics such as:
Fragility, Resistance, Preoccupation, Male, Wonder, Vital, Aggression, Protest. Since 2006,
more than 90 arts centers and museums have shown FemLink’s works in 30 countries.
2015 will be the 10th anniversary of FemLink. For this occasion, the collective wants to
launch a new work composed of 33 videos (made by 33 artists from 33 countries) that will be
released on January 2015. The topic is: “FEMALE”. FemLink also plans to publish a “FemLink
book” which will include the DVD of the collage-video “FEMALE”. The book will be
distributed for free in art schools and art centers in developing countries.
Hence, the collective is looking for places to make available the book and to broadcast the video
so as to highlight the work of women artists in the world.

The “Universidad Católica de Murcia” (UCAM) from Spain, is looking for partners to apply for the
call WATER-5-c-2014: Development of water supply and sanitation technology, systems and
tools, and/or methodologies, with first deadline by 16thOctober 2014.
The main objective of this project is to obtain reliable measurements of the concentrations and
annual loads of pharmaceuticals and the transformation products, and to outline the trends of any
seasonal variations on the IWC in the geographical areas (AFRICA) of this study. Additionally,
other objectives of this project are:

Predicting the removal of EP in the WWTPs and WTPs by statistical models and artificial
intelligence methods.
·
To calculate the yields of the elimination processes of pharmaceuticals in WWTPs, in order to
development of innovate methods for removal these contaminants.
·
Screening and quantification of pathogens in field water samples using optimized

immunomnagnetic capture and molecular detection methods
·
To calculate usage of EP by studies of sewage epidemiology.

13.3. Horizon 2020, PHC 24 – 2015: Piloting personalized medicine in health and care systems
/ Catholic University of Murcia, Spain
The “Platform of Oncology - Hospital Quirón Torrevieja” (Spain), in collaboration with the Spanish
“Catholic University of Murcia” (UCAM), is looking for partners to apply for the call PHC 24 –
2015: Piloting personalized medicine in health and care systems, with first deadline by 14th
October 2014.
The main objective of this project is to implement and share the integrated patient centered cancer
care model developed by “Hospital Quirón” in partners’ institutions and to create a European
network of personalized cancer care. Several of the techniques that permit personalized cancer care
can be performed on patient’s biological samples (blood, serum, biopsies, etc) which can be studied
extramurally. Specialized units working in a way similar to the core facilities, with the adequate
coordination, can spread the benefits of personalized treatment to a wide population of cancer
patients. The impact of this new model organization and the results of therapy will be measured
with qualitative and quantitative indicators.
For this project, the “Hospital Quirón Torrevieja” is looking for partners from all over Europe:

Clinical care units with interest in entering into the field of personalized medicine in cancer
·
European companies expert in innovative technologies for “omics”-applied research in
translational oncology.

Pharmacokinetic/pharmacodynamic laboratories with a high profile for routinely performing
therapeutic drug monitoring of anticancer drugs.

Groups with intermediate/high level of Pharmacometrics knowledge.
·
European radiopharmaceuticals groups leader in the production, development and
commercialization of PET tracers in oncology
·
Molecular imaging departments expertise in monitoring early response with PET
·
Molecular imaging departments’ expertise in the functional dynamics of tumors (in vivo
pharmacokinetic and target identification).

Piemonte Region – Asl Torino 3 (local health authority) is looking for potential partners to join a
proposal that will be submitted under the Erasmus + call on ‘strategic partnerships’ (application
deadline: April 30 th 2014 ).
ASL Torino 3 would like to submit a project entitled ‘ Vulnerable Adolescence ’, which aims at
defining a common methodology targeted to prevent school leaving and to bring more young people
back to school and to work. The partners will jointly prepare a “mobility” model with the goal of
verifying if and how EU mobility of young students belonging to disadvantaged targets may
support preventive strategies of school leaving.

Project idea: Several small towns and communities across Europe are today facing significant
challenges (energy poverty, CO2 emissions, air pollution, lack of / in-efficient energy
infrastructures) due to their dependence on fossil fuels (oil & gas) for heating and energy.
Many of the communities are however not in the vicinity of DH or natural gas networks and will
need to find alternative solutions. Towards this challenge initiatives have commenced in building
various businessmodels to decrease risk for households as well as to reduce the costs. Cooperatives
or Energy service contracts are current examples, but the market penetration of small-scale
renewable are still moving too slow – for private energy costs as well as for European Union energy
ambitions.
