Students Electing to Attend School in Adjoining State
The board shall deny applications of students seeking to attend school in an adjoining state. The board shall
make an exceptions to this policy only upon a showing by the student’s family that (1) the student will suffer
extreme and unusual harm if not allowed to attend school in an adjoining state; or (2) the district’s financial
circumstances will be unaffected by the out-of-state transfer.
This policy shall not apply to out-of-state placements of students with verified disabilities by their
Individualized Education Plan Teams.
