Call for Workshop Proposals
Deadline: March 15, 2013
The 2013 Oregon TRIO Association (OTA) Professional Development Conference provides an
excellent opportunity to share with and learn from professionals with an interest in college access and
success for students who are first generation, low-income, and/or have documented disabilities.
While all proposals received by the March 15, 2013 deadline will receive full consideration, some
presenters may be notified of session acceptance prior to the deadline. Notification for all proposals will
occur by early April. Presenters are encouraged to collaborate with colleagues from other schools, states,
and organizations. Vendors, for-profit organizations, and non-members are encouraged to submit
proposals.
Conference workshops should be 60 minutes in length allowing time for questions and answers, and
handouts are encouraged (handouts and visual aids are at the expense of the presenter). Proposals will be
reviewed with emphasis on:




Quality
Innovation/New approaches
Best Practices
Emerging Issues
Note: Presenters who do not register and pay to attend the conference will be unable to participate in any
aspect of the conference other than presenting at their session. Due to budget constraints, no honoraria
will be given to workshop presenters.
