 Consider natural turnover/redeployment opportunities (on-going)
 Consider whether voluntary terms are to be made available (if they have
not already been made available)
 Voluntary terms to be notified to Unions (normally through ESRG)
 Voluntary terms to be communicated/made available to staff

Step 3: Develop job descriptions



Review group to confirm need to proceed to job matching
(NB. If uptake achieves objectives of the plan, then implementation will
continue to be taken forward by the unit i.e. exit stage 3 process)
Draft job descriptions shared with Unions
Job descriptions finalised
Step 4: Job matching/selection
 Schedule matching panels and notify Unions (may attend as observers)
 Staff advised of process and agreed job descriptions circulated
 Expressions of interest invited from staff
 Job matching undertaken
 Staff advised of outcome of job matching
 Appeals process for non-matched individuals (HRM to coordinate)
 Interviews for non-matched roles
 Staff advised of outcome of interview process
 Staff aligned to roles in new structure as far as possible

Step 5: Final report


Prepare report on Stage 3 outcomes for review group to include:
identification of displaced people, re-visit plans and staffing reductions
originally identified and recommended next steps.
