BEHAVIORAL HEALTH THERAPIST Northern Nevada HOPES is hiring a Behavioral Health Therapist. This is a 40 hour per week position. The Behavioral Health Therapist will provide clinical behavioral health services in a manner that upholds HOPES' mission and quality standards, and results in better patient health outcomes and overall satisfaction. HOPES has an integrated team model approach to patient care. Part of the Behavioral Health Therapist's responsibilities will also include participation in organization wide Patient Centered Medical Home activities to enhance patient care. Minimum Required Skills, Knowledge, and Experience: Master's degree in social work with a minimum of three to five years' experience as a clinical therapist working with adults Current license to practice in Nevada as an LCSW or LMFT Has obtained a National Provider Identification number and is able to bill Medicare Competency in providing cognitive and behavioral interventions to individuals, families, couples, children, and groups with behavioral health/substance abuse problems in a trauma informed primary care/specialty care setting Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with primary care staff, patients and other behavioral health clinicians Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment Familiarity with Behavioral Health Consultant Model Familiarity Screening, Brief Intervention, and Referral to Treat for substance abuse (SBIRT) and Evidence based treatment modalities for crisis interventions. Primary Tasks and Responsibilities: Brief Consultations -- Productivity expectation of a trained BHP is an average of 8-10 behavioral health consultations per clinical day Consultations -- Provide PCPs consults to enhance understanding of the patient, provide decision support for treatment planning and assist in the implementation and monitoring of biopsychosocial treatment plans Coordination of Care -- Provide consultation to and coordinate care of patients with health center primary care staff Crisis Intervention -- Be immediately available to the health center staff during working hours in the event of a psychiatric emergency Electronic Medical Record Documentation -- Complete all documentation as needed and required by contacted funding sources: including assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and billing Specialty Behavioral Health -- Develop sustainable caseload providing psychotherapy using evidence based practices in a trauma informed care environment, with emphasis on prevention and substance abuse if required Other duties as assigned Additional: Bilingual English/Spanish preferred but not required All candidates must pass pre-employment drug screening.
