Draga Talinga – Geophysicist (Ph.D. Geophysics) Draga Talinga received a Ph.D in Geophysics in 2010 from the University of Calgary, where she specialized in seismic anisotropy for fracture characterization in the Alberta Foothills. After receiving her degree, she spent two years at Simon Fraser University working as a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Earth Sciences, Petrology and Tectonics Research Group. Her postdoctoral research studies were focused on 3D tomographic inversion and integrated interpretation of field and laboratory (ultrasonic) seismic, surface geology, well data to characterize intra and sub-basalt structures, and stratigraphy associated with complex tectonism in the Intermontane Belt. She also has four years of experience as a Seismic Interpreter in hydrocarbon exploration in structurally complex areas such as Southern Carpathian Foredeep Basin, and Northeast British Columbia and Central Alberta Foothills.
