Acceptance of the August minutes- Minutes shared and accepted. Good News: Based on the current data we met the State standards for Math in every category except Hispanics and SWD (SPED) We met attendance standard school wide and participation rate on the test. Still have work to do with literacy Hispanic parents are refusing services for their children Last meeting the following was worked on: Intervention for After School Student, Faculty, Parent Handbook Calendar Vision Statement (Monitoring the election process, roles and responsibilities, setting of meeting dates, minutes distribution) Roles and Responsibilities: Chairperson- Ms. Scott Ms. Scott will acknowledge each person based on the agenda of the meeting. She will also email the committee regarding he timing for each session. OCSI Partners Meeting October 31st Approximately 20 people Discussed what each of the partners of the Community School’s areas of expertise are and how they already or are planning to work with the Community School Initiative Mike and Molly will send Ms. Saunders a proposal that will be reviewed by Community School Initiative Staff and Administration 6. New Concerns not addressed above (Effective teaching practices, adequate resources, partnerships) Description of the Problem Activity(ies) to address the problem Behavior Issues Cafeteria/ Lack of order and structure. Expectations should be reviewed. Look to see what parents/families need to be held accountable for and what teachers and staff need to be held accountable for. We must do two versions. A Light version for the younger students and a heavy version for the older students that are age and grade appropriate for their attention spans.
