TITLE: Leadership Programs Coordinator
COMPENSATION: $7.80/hour; 15-17 hours/week
BASIC FUNCTION AND RESPONSIBILITY:
The Leadership Programs Coordinator is responsible for implementing programmatic
components in the leadership, volunteerism, and service-learning areas.
CHARACTERISTIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.
Coordinate the Skill Builders! leadership workshop series.
2.
Tabulate and analyze evaluation results for programmatic components of the Student
Leader Fellowship Program (SLFP).
3.
Assist with the planning and facilitating of the monthly SLFP Fellowship Meetings.
4.
Assist with SLFP Mentor Orientation sessions and Mentorshops.
5.
Assist with recruitment and selection of new Student Fellows.
6.
Assist with the planning and implementation of the SLFP Fall Retreat.
7.
Assist with planning the SLFP Graduation Reception.
8.
Chair the SLFP Communications Committee.
9.
Manage the cataloging, organization, and check-out of all Leadership Library materials.
10. Participate in SLFP Special Occasions and social activities.
11. Assist with keeping the SLFP web site fresh and updated.
12. Assist with general promotion of the SLFP.
13. Assist with the SLFP Tuition Raffle.
14. Assist with FYE presentations.
15. Assist with Leadership Scholars Programs.
16. Assist with the production and distribution of the Care Package Program each semester.
17. Assist with the maintenance of campus posting areas.
18. Prepare reports, answer correspondence, and make presentations as deemed necessary
by the Director, Associate Director, or Assistant Director of the Center for Student
Enrichment.
19. Maintain at least 10-12 office hours per week.
20. Attend staff meetings, retreats, and regularly scheduled meetings with the SLFP Senior
Secretary or Assistant Director of the Center for Student Enrichment.
21. Communicate regularly with the SLFP Senior Secretary or Assistant Director of the
Center for Student Enrichment.
22. Perform other duties as assigned by the SLFP Senior Secretary or Assistant Director of
the Center for Student Enrichment.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED:
From the SLFP Senior Secretary and the Assistant Director of the Center for Student
Enrichment.
SUPERVISION EXERCISED:
None
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Cumulative grade point average of 2.2 or higher; minimum semester G.P.A. of 2.0 or
higher during the semester preceding application for employment; a minimum G.P.A. of
2.0 or higher must be earned each semester for continuation of employment.
2. A current member or alumnus of the Student Leader Fellowship Program.
3. Junior status or above.
4. Above average communication skills — writing, speaking, and listening.
5. Background experiences in leadership and volunteer activities.
6. Experience in organizing major projects and events.
