Student Ambassador
Role Description
To promote and assist the University working on a broad range
of projects, including recruitment events, graduation and market
research.
Grade & Salary:
Grade 2 £8.79 per hour (plus holiday pay)
Campus Location:

and effective professional services to support potential and
current students from their initial enquiry to Edinburgh Napier
University through to graduation and beyond.
Main Duties and Responsibilities

To promote the University by assisting at local, regional and national recruitment
events and exhibitions.

To assist proactively in activities within services, schools and faculties, for example
supervision of school groups, helping and interacting with the public during visit days,
participating in campus tours, talks, presentations and student induction weeks.

To assist with internal promotional events such as welcome events, airport welcome
and campus tours for students and visitors.

To operate the airport welcome service by providing information to new international
students.

To support student retention initiatives and activities, assisting with admissions
processes, clearing and induction events.

Assist with the provision of information on the university and its’ courses to
prospective students and applicants through social media channels such as
Facebook.

To assist staff in the information office, reception and student helpdesks.

To help new students settle into university life, by providing friendly advice and
support across the university.

To refer students and others to appropriate sources of advice, information and
support.

To assist with the supply and distribution of information leaflets and material
throughout the University.

To produce short reports on events as required.

Undertake any other duties as may be reasonably required by the Assessment Centre
Manager.
