Biology/Fisheries Special Projects Coordinator
 Assist Biology and Fisheries Tech faculty in coordinating project logistics
and promotions, marketing and recruitment, writing proposals for funding,
and planning workshops and educational events.
 Coordinate planning efforts and implement strategies for
biology/chemistry lab reorganization / modifications
 Potential projects include: developing a research techniques workshop /
online module; organizing an intertidal field workshop; using social media
to promote programs and enhance recruitment; developing an underwater
scientific research program; organizing fisheries technology labs in coastal
communities
Job Description This is position is part of the Sitka Winter Service Fellows Program. All
fellows live "in community" in North Pacific Hall on the Sheldon Jackson
Campus in Sitka, Alaska. For more information on the program, please see:

The program is modeled after other service programs such as AmeriCorps and
Jesuit Volunteers. Compensation is $150/week for discretionary expenses.
Housing is provided (North Pacific Hall). Fellows are also granted a $500
travel stipend.
