Room Parents Needed for 2015-16
Thank you to all of the moms who served as room parents
this year. You did a great job! We are now recruiting room
parents for the 2015-2016 school year. Each class needs
two room parents to plan parties, create a dinner dance
project, organize teacher appreciation week, and be the contact person for the class. Grab a friend
and do it together. If interested contact Kathleen Heller at jsheller1966@yahoo.com or sign up in
the school office. Thank you for considering this rewarding job.

Please help your child do well on their tests by making sure they have a
good breakfast the morning of the test. Avoid eating sugary foods.
High-protein foods like scrambled eggs are often best for aiding
concentration and minimizing fatigue.
And…Have them get a full night’s sleep before the test, and wear
comfortable clothing.
Teachers and Target
You can say thanks to a teacher and Target will give $25 to their
school - https://thanksabillion.target.com/. You will need to login with
your Facebook page and Target will donate $25 for every note of
thanks (only 1 per FB account) up to $25,000 per school. The
campaign ends June 14.

EXPANDING OUR CELEBRATION!
HONORING the TEACHING MINISTRIES of
DIANE KIEPURA, KATHY KRAATZ and
MELISSA SMITH
Join us as we celebrate the retirement of Kathy Kraatz and Diane
Kiepura. Our celebration also extends to Melissa Smith as she leaves her
position at St. Andrews to accept a call to be the Assistant Professor of
Early Childhood Education at Concordia University.
There will be a reception in their honor on SUNDAY MAY 31st after our
9:15 church service.
Kathy has served at St. Andrews for 14 years as our 1st grade teacher
and primary music director.
Diane, a lifelong member of St. Andrews, has been our resource teacher
and 7th and 8th grade math teacher for the last 23 years. Diane was also
most instrumental in the completion of our new library – securing funds,
designing and recreating our new Learning Resource Center. For eight
years, Melissa Smith has shared her passion for teaching, her love of God
and never ending enthusiasm with the students and families of St.
Andrews .She has been extremely successful in leading a preschool
expansion and development program that will grow St. Andrews in
many years to come.
All three of these dedicated servants have been champions of St.
Andrews Lutheran Church and School. We truly thank them for their
integrity, their expertise, their direction and guidance and most
especially for their dedicated service to the children and families of St.
Andrews Lutheran Church and School.
We wish Kathy and Diane God’s blessings as they enjoy their retirement.
We wish Melissa much success in the next step of God’s plan for her.
There is no doubt she will be an influential and inspiring professor!
