You can obtain help from a skilled, trained crisis worker who will listen to your problems and help assess and refer for services. Acute Psychiatric Services: 612-873-3161 Available 24/7. HCMC's Acute Psychiatric Services center serves those in emotional crisis with 24-hour, seven-day-a-week crisis counseling, assessment, and referral. Treatment of psychiatric emergencies such as acute psychotic conditions, panic states, severe and incapacitating depression, suicidal crisis, danger to others, sudden loss of memory, and situations involving grave mental disability. You can call the number above or walk-in (APS is located next to the HCMC Emergency Department). Employee Assistance Program Employees: 1-800Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is provided by PUT NAME HERE, and provides all employees (benefit-earning and non-benefit-earning) and their family members with assessment, short-term counseling and referral services. The services are confidential and provided at no cost to the employee. Employees can access the EAP for help with issues, including family, mental health, work/life, legal and financial. (Be sure this description fits for your employee assistance program) Spiritual Care: On-Call Chaplain Pager ; Office Chaplains can provide support and consultation for staff including guidance and resources to staff around spirituality issues and concerns, as well as facilitating staff support individually and in groups following stressful workplace events. Although it is not staffed, the Spiritual Center is located in the Red Building, Level 2 Skyway, adjacent to the Medical Library Services. The Spiritual Center is open 24 hours a day for patients, families, and staff. It is a spiritual space open for people of all faiths and no faith, for prayer, meditation, and quiet time. (Be sure to change this section to identify your Spiritual Center location and hours) HCMC Psychiatry Therapy Clinic: 612-873-2218 The outpatient therapy clinic is available for diagnostic evaluation, psychotherapy services, and referral to psychiatrists for medication evaluation as needed.
