Tour Behavior Guidelines
(Revised May 09)
In order for the tour to be an incredible experience for everyone, we all need to follow the
same rules and regulations. Remember, you are not the only one on this trip. Your
attitude and behavior affects the entire group. Please read this carefully. You will be
expected to follow all rules at all times.
1. YOU ARE EXPECTED TO CONDUCT YOURSELF IN A CHRIST-LIKE
MANNER AT ALL TIMES.
2. You are representing your parents, Shades Mountain Baptist Church, Student
Choirs, and God. Make sure your actions and attitude don’t embarrass any of
these parties.
3. You will be assigned a chaperone. Your chaperone must know who you are
with and where you are at all times during this trip.
4. You are expected to have respect for, and be willing to obey any adult who is
with us.
5. A good attitude is important at all times. No whining or complaining is
allowed (even when you are tired).
6. Get plenty of rest! If you are too tired to give your best at a performance,
then you are not presenting the best possible witness.
7. Portable music players are allowed only with headphones. You may NOT
play your music out loud on the bus. ALL EQUIPMENT AND CDS ARE
BROUGHT AT YOUR OWN RISK. WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR
LOST OR STOLEN ITEMS. Do not bring music that is inappropriate to our
mission.
8. No loud screaming, rough housing or obnoxious behavior on the bus! You
will be asked to sit with a chaperone, if you can’t control yourself.
9. EXERCISE SELF CONTROL AT ALL TIMES!! Be disciplined and have a
willing spirit. Do what you’re asked to do without complaining.
10. BE ON TIME!! Please do not hold up the entire group.
11. Be kind to each other. Think about other people’s feelings and control your
tongue. Remember, a friend loveth at all times and the words you speak have
the power to hurt or heal.
12. You may not leave the group at any time.
13. Be where you are supposed to be, doing what you’re supposed to be doing to
the best of your abilities at all times.
14. In the hotel, NO guy is allowed in a girl’s room and NO girl is allowed in a
guy’s room at anytime, for any reason, EVEN WITH THE DOOR OPEN!!!
15. Respect all church and hotel property and be ready to pay for anything you
damage.
16. You are not allowed out of your hotel room after curfew time. If you need
something, or have an emergency, call your chaperone.
17. No low riding pants. Bring a belt and use it. No low cut pants on guys or
girls.
18. If there is a pool at the hotel, swimming will be allowed only if we have
time. We will swim as a group at designated times. No one is to swim
outside of the designated times. Girls should only wear one piece swim suits.
Guys should not wear cutoffs, boxers, or gym shorts (actual swim suits,
please).
19. Daily Devotional- When quiet time is called; it means absolutely no talking
or moving about. Make sure that your Bible is with you or is accessible
quickly.
20. No PDA.
21. No t-shirts with questionable writing or logos.
22. No piercing, hair colorings or otherwise altering your appearance while on
tour.
I’m sure this is not comprehensive. The director, chaperones, and workers, reserve the
right to add to this list at any time. These rules and guidelines are meant for your safety
and welfare of the group. Pease take them to heart and follow them.
We have the right to notify the parents of any choir member who refuses to follow the
aforementioned rule and we will do so if necessary.
