Robert Ferrell was born in County Gilgay Ireland in 1722 and died in
Monongalia County VA (WV). He was at the Battle of Point Pleasant in
Lord Dunmore's War and served in Capt. Henry Paulding's company of
volunteers during the Revolution.
He married Susan Stone. Susan was born in Wales in 1748.

(WV) December 1, 1830. Dorcas, a daughter of Sarah Powell, was
born June 18, 1814 and died in Calhoun county September 21, 1897.
The family came to Calhoun county after 1870.

Infantry. He enlisted December 22, 1862 and was discharged at
Parkersburg, WV May 12, 1863.
