PROPOSAL OF YOUTH JAM DJ BATTLE 2012
INTRODUCTION:
The YOUTH JAM DJ BATTLE 2012 is organized for a reason. The growth of DJ
community all over Malaysia is overwhelming and certainly more to come in the younger
generations. This event is certainly the right event to inspire and to bring up more people
joining the DJ community hence more crowd, better response and more impact on the
entire Youth Jam 2012 event. DJ battles are always eye catching and certainly popular
among the youths. It is rare for a DJ battle to be showcased outdoor and live because it is
always organized in night clubs that requires entry fees. We are taking advantage on the
fact that we are not charging on any forms of fees to join us at the Youth Jam 2012 to
attract more people from various crowd to join us. In conclusion, this is the event that has
the most impact in different variants of crowd all over Malaysia and this is certainly the
right event for Youth Jam 2012.
OBJECTIVES:









To educate the young generation about club DJs and music knowledge.
To share ideas and expand knowledge about DJ to everyone.
To make a greater impact of music industry in Penang,Malaysia.
To unite all local DJs and compete to find out who has the best talent.
To share ideas and expand knowledge about DJ to everyone.
To promote healthy lifestyle of a DJ.
To promote healthy competition among Malaysian DJs
To promote the spirit of 1 Malaysia among the youths and DJs
DJ battles are always eye catching hence it will attract more people to attend the
event
EXPECTED RESULTS:
The expected outcome from this YOUTH JAM DJ BATTLE 2012 event is to have 50
DJs from all over Malaysia to be in participation hence bringing in their own friends and
supporters along with them to be a part of this event

Summary:
The items that is shown above are the suggested marketing platforms to increases the
awareness of the public of our Youth Jam DJ Battle 2012 event. By the existing
users/members of www.youthstoday.com/, we believe that promoting this YOUTH JAM
DJ BATTLE 2012 would be an ease. It also shows the amount of people attending on the
screen hence it will attract more people to join in or attending the event. We could show
the results to our sponsors hence giving them more reasons to increase the amount of
goods sponsored. www.facebook.com/ is a general social networking site that has
millions of active users. It also has some built in features on site like creating event and it
also shows out the statistics on how many people are attending etc. Posting update status,
sharing post on facebook will be part of the marketing strategy; it would be more
convenient for the words to be spread around the public. When it comes to
www.twitter.com/, it has countless of active users too. So, words could get around very
fast and efficient. Re-tweets of tweets is one of the fastest ways to get the words around
the community hence alerting the public on what’s going on for the event and what we
have installed for the public in YOUTH JAM DJ BATTLE 2012. When it comes to
public advertising, we would like to implement the idea of using banners and flyers. We
would like to print out a total of 2 (3 x 6 feet) banner and a (3 x 10) banner. The (3 x 10)
banner shall be hung at Penang Times Square and for the 2 (3 x 4) banner we would like
to hang them in popular malls. We would like to have some volunteers to give out flyers
around youth’s hang out place to promote even more on the event itself. Last but not least,
roadshows. We would like the organizing team to grant us the permission to set up booths
in colleges, high schools and malls to promote on this event even more. On top of that,
there will be forms to be filled out for attendees. All of these would be our data/statistics
and as a result to present to our sponsors in order to get more goods (cash, goods, in-kind
goods) from them.

Summary:
We are looking forward to have either Digi Telecommunication or Hotlink Prepaid to be
one of our main sponsors. As far as we know, telecommunication company is good and
efficient in advertising in terms of products, promotion etc. We would like to take this
advantage to expand our range of advertising. With their sponsor, we could save cost in
printing flyers, banners etc. Other than that we could obtain professional help in terms of
advertising. Other than advertising, we are looking forward on getting sponsored on
Goodies Bags and Cash to act as an attraction to attract more people joining in for our
event. As we all know, Sony is one of the leaders in manufacturing electronic products.
For example, speakers, headphones, etc. From there, it would be ideal for them to be one
of our main sponsors. We would like to be sponsored on Cash, Headphones, Goodies
Bags and Equipment for our Media. Cash, headphones and goodies bag could rapidly
increase our joining rates on this event. The more and better the prizes are, the more
people are going to join in. In return we would provide our sponsors (applies for both
sponsors) with booths in our Bazaar to promote and sell their products, to have their logo
to be printed on our banners & flyers, public announcements throughout the event and to
have their goods to be promoted in our roadshows around Penang, Malaysia. The above
