Sample Email to Connect with New Collegiate Chapter Presidents Kaitlyn Krukar, president of the Washington, DC, Alumni Chapter, wrote an email to the collegiate chapters in her area at the start of the spring semester. I used her email to create this sample email for you to use and email your local collegiate chapter officers. You can modify the list of proposed activities. Just make sure you are willing to participate in any of the activities you suggest to the collegiate officers. Hello! I hope that your new school year is getting off to a great start. My name is <your name>, and I am the <your officer position> of the <your alumni chapter name> of Tau Beta Pi. We are beginning to plan events for the year, and we are interested in working with you. Please let me know if there are any specific activities that you would like for us to coordinate and/or participate in. Here are some examples: Alumni Panel to ask our alumni questions about careers, graduate school, etc. Speed networking between your members and the alumni Initiation Mock interviews Resume workshops Community service events o Do you have a Pi Day event planned? o Do you have upcoming STEM events? o Other activities? Anything else If you have an Alumni Relations chair, please provide me with their contact information. The more information you provide, the better we can plan to work with you. As you know, planning events farther in advance is usually best when trying to balance 18 credits (or a job and family and extracurricular activities in our case). If you have any specific dates planned for any of the events above, or a date in mind (or a week/range) that you would like to have an event with us, please let me know. If your officers would be interested in meeting with our alumni officers, please let me know and we can coordinate a joint meeting. Thanks, and we look forward to working with you! <Your Name> <Your office and your chapter> <Email address> <Phone number>
