Reagents and standards
n-Dibutyl phthalate (DBP) and diethylhexyl phthalate (DEHP) were purchased
from the Tianjin Chemical Reagent No. 2 Plant (Tianjin, China). Potassium sodium
tartrate (KNaC4H4O6·4H2O) was purchased from the Shantou Xilong Chemical Co.
(Shantou, China). Sodium dodecyl benzene sulfonate (SDBS) was purchased from the
Beijing Chemical Reagents Co. (Beijing, China). Copper (II) sulfate pentahydrate
(CuSO4·5H2O) was purchased from Sinopharm Chemical Reagent Co. (Shanghai,
China). Nickel (II) chloride hexahydrate (NiCl2·6H2O) was purchased from the
Tianjin Guangfu Fine Chemical Research Institute (Tianjin, China). Palladium(II)
chloride (PdCl2) and Tin(II) chloride (SnCl2) was purchased from Shengyang Keda
Chemical Reagent Co. (Shengyang, China). Anhydrous sodium carbonate (Na2CO3)
was obtained from the Shanghai Sanyou Chemical Reagent Co. (Shanghai, China).
Sodium hydroxide (NaOH) was purchased from the Shanghai Shanpu Chemical Co.
(Shanghai, China). All chemicals were of analytical grade.
Analytes were dissolved in ethanol with concentration of 1.0 mg mL-1 and stored
at 4 °C for use.
Apparatus
An Agilent 7890A series gas chromatography (Agilent Technologies, USA)
equipped with a flame ionization detector (FID) and splitless inlet was used in the
analysis. Chromatographic separation was accomplished with a HP-5 column (30 m ×
0.32 mm × 0.25 μm). The injector and detector temperatures were set at 280 and
300 °C, respectively. Ultrapure nitrogen (99.999%) was used as carrier and make-up
gas, and the flow rates were set at 1 mL min-1 and 25 mL min-1, respectively.
Separation was achieved using temperature programs as follows: the column
temperature was initially held at 120 °C, and programmed at 10 °C min-1 to 300 °C.
The desorption of the extracted analytes was performed at 280 °C for 3 min.
Surface morphological studies were carried out by a scanning electron
microscope (SEM, JSM-6701F, JEOL Ltd., Japan) equipped with an energy dispersive
X-ray spectroscopy (EDS).
