Join the Viking Club for 2014-2015
The Viking Club is the official booster organization for the Vernon Township High School athletic program. During the course of the
school year, more than half of our student body of 1,088 students will be involved in some phase of our athletic program. If every
parent paid their $5.00 membership we could raise over $2,500 for our athletes - so simple!
Today more than ever, young people need to know that adults are interested in what they do. As responsible adults, we should strive to
support healthy, wholesome and worthwhile activities for our young people, such as our interscholastic athletic program. We
encourage all parents of student athletes to become involved -- our goal is to get more parents actively involved this year so please fill
out the volunteer form below!
To date the Viking Club has been in existence for 39 years and has contributed more than $315,000 for the purchase of athletic
equipment, video cameras, scoreboards, showcase, trophies, VCR’s, weight equipment, and portable generators. In addition, during
the 2013-2014 school year, thirteen athletes were awarded $500 scholarships and two were awarded $750 Gary Sparta Scholarships.
You can help support these activities and objectives by joining the Viking Club. We meet in the high school cafeteria on the second
Monday of each month at 7:00 pm and we invite you to attend and participate in our activities. We urge you to support this
worthwhile organization. Membership contribution is $5.00 per family or you may choose a $15.00 membership, which includes,
having your name listed on the Ticket Booth and Concession Stand.
