Beller’s Bulletin

Week of January 25 - 29

Students took MAP benchmark tests in Math, Reading, and

Language this week. We will talk about their progress at parent teacher conferences, which will begin next Thursday at

3:00 p.m. I look forward to seeing you at your scheduled time!

A new registration process will begin for next school year.

You will receive a pink form in the mail next week that needs to be filled out and returned to the school with your child or at conferences. Please look at the bottom portion of the pink form to see the new policies and procedures for the 2016-

2017 registration. A letter from the district will be included in the newsletter next week, I believe.

Today, students had the awesome opportunity to see “Step

Afrika!” here at the school. This group will also be performing at Millikin tomorrow. Ask your child about it. 

Enjoy your weekend,

Mrs. Beller 

Dear Families,

We have been brainstorming what to do on our new iPads. It has been emotional (happy) since we got them. We can associate them with things we are doing in class.

I have made an assumption that some iPads might be taken away for doing the wrong thing.

There is a variety of dull things that have been done, but it helps us reach our targets.

Sincerely,

Gabrielle Orme

Sometimes there are little incidents or problems in class. Then, kids do their work. But sometimes they don’t and make noises. I ignore it and am a great student. I work on my learning target and to brainstorm new ideas.

Honesty Crowder

This week our class has been working on a target for our academic and personal goals. Our class also talked about compound sentences. Please, parents, send your child a variety of pencils to school.

Monica Smith

This week we were talking about our new novel, Walk Two Moons . We are giving our commentary and supporting details. I really think this will be a good experience for us.

Kyliyah Morgret

This week in class our target was to get the iPads working. We had to brainstorm on our definitions. There were a couple of people who had an incident with their definitions.

Nate Mehrer

In class we are learning about compound sentences. In SpringBoard we do a brainstorm before we read

Walk Two Moons

. Our target is to read a whole book in a week.

Kaylee Luter

This week in class, our class has completed three MAP tests. We have some more new words to learn, like compound sentence and assumption. Those are some hard words so remember to study them. We got our iPads last Friday, and we use them to find our definitions. We got a variety of notebooks from Mr. Markus and the church.

Ty Jarrett

This week in class we have done a variety of things. In reading we had to brainstorm our ideas about MLK, Jr. or Jackie Robinson. In science, we are learning about types of energy. In SpringBoard we have been reading

Walk Two Moons

, and then writing in our double-entry journal. The week seems dull, but we’re doing a lot!
