“The HALL-O-WEEN WEEKEND” 2012 Dear Coaches, On behalf of Hall High School and the Warrior Forensics and Debate team, we are pleased to invite you to the Hall-oween Weekend Forensics and Debate Tournament, to be held on the campus of Hall High in Little Rock, Arkansas on October 26th and 27th, 2012. We will be offering a full slate of competitive Forensic events and celebrating the forthcoming Halloween holiday with a student judged costume contest and a special Scary Storytelling event to be held on Friday night. We look forward to you attending the 1st annual Hall-O-Ween Weekend. Coaches, please designate your ‘Sweeps Slate’, whose entries will count towards your schools Sweepstakes Awards. Students may enter in two events per pattern only. Debaters will not be able to enter Individual Events, Round 4 of Prelims will be held at the same time and we will avoid conflicting entries in order to prevent tournament delays. Debate rounds, group events and Scary Storytelling will be held Friday night, students will only be able to compete in one of these events. Necessary break rounds will be held for GE’s and Scary Storytelling dependent on number of entries. The Hall-o-ween Weekend will offer four preliminary rounds of Policy debate. Entry deadline is Thursday, October 18th, 5:00 PM Judging Requirements: All coaches are asked to stay until the final round is covered. Demand for qualified judges will be high as the tournament comes to a close. IE entries must have 1 judge for every 20 entries or fraction there of. Policy Debate entries must have 1 judge for every two entries or fraction there of. There will be a $20.00 judge drop fee per every entry requirement not met. This fee will go towards hiring judges who are unaffiliated and/or are requested on short notice. Tournament will follow ACTAA rules and guidelines.
