STUDENTS MUST FILE A REQUEST WITH ADMISSIONS AND RECORDS TO HAVE THIS CERTIFICATION SENT WITH THEIR TRANSCRIPTS BY CHECKING THE APPROPRIATE
BOX ON THE TRANSCRIPT REQUEST FORM. THIS CERTIFICATION CAN POTENTIALLY PREVENT STUDENTS FROM TAKING ADDITIONAL COURSES LATER.

A through E on the general education pattern below. Students may request a partial general education certification if at least
one area of general education is fully completed.
Students with transfer majors requiring more than 30 semester units should consult a counselor regarding the advisability
of completing major preparation courses versus general education requirements. Not all GE areas are required for all majors.
A maximum of 70 semester (105 quarter) units earned at community colleges may be transferred to CSU. Community college
