Mandatory Uniform Policy 2 pages vs.2015 By enrolling at MID parents agree to support and adhere to the stated uniform policy. A uniform policy helps to create an environment that enhances the student’s individual feeling of belonging and helps to limit the stress of fitting in or meeting up to social pressures. School Logo Required: With the exception of HEAVY winter/Rain coats, ALL upper wear must have an MID logo embroidered or printed on it. Not having the School logo on upper-wear and light upper outer-wear, and not following the guidelines below constitute being out of uniform. Out of Uniform Actions: All parents agree to uphold our uniform policy before enrolling. If a student comes to school out of uniform in any way they will receive: a written uniform infraction form for the first two occasions, giving parents the opportunity to correct the problem. On the third occasion and all occasions thereafter in that school year when a student arrives at school out of uniform they will be held at the front desk until the parent can return to school to correct the uniform or take the student home. Being out of class due to a uniform infraction will count as a tardy or an absence. If a parent chooses to use Awards Express to embroider the MID logo they must be sure that the clothing items meet the MID uniform policy. A shirt may not have the logo on one side of the chest and another brand logo on the other. The MID logo may not be embroidered on t-shirts or shirts without collars.(AE must be dropped off by 1st/3rd Wednesday to be picked up on the 2nd/4th Wednesday of each month.
