Reflexes are important because they let your body respond immediately and automatically to something dangerous without you thinking about. 4. If you didn’t have nerves running from your feet to your brain and you stubbed your toe, you wouldn’t feel pain, but you might fracture or break your toe. You could fall because if your brain doesn’t receive the message that you stubbed your toe, your brain wouldn’t be able to send a message to your eyes to look at the rock.
