Pep Rally On Thursday, April 30th, we will be having a pep rally in support of our middle/high school girls’ softball team. Please dress in navy and white in support of our Lady Crusaders. Students may wear regular bottoms if they are wearing blue and white. Softball players should wear their softball jerseys with a t-shirt underneath and bring their gloves and a ball. Players may wear regular bottoms. School Picture On Friday, May 1st, we will be taking a picture of the entire student body, and we want everyone to wear their class t-shirts. These are the shirts that we ordered last fall. They may wear jeans or regular bottoms, but they must meet the handbook guidelines. Students do not have to pay for dress down on Friday, because we are asking that they wear their class t-shirts. Special Chapel Service 1st, On Friday, May at 1:00 p.m., Tim Williams will be here to share a message with our student body. The youth praise band from church which includes some of our students at the academy will be leading in worship. Parents are invited to come and worship with us. Weekend of Hope 1st, Also on Friday, May the Weekend of Hope will begin. On Friday night, we are having Hope for Kidz night for children through sixth grade. This will include games, bounce houses, pizza, and more. Parents need to make plans to stay and enjoy the evening with their children, and hear guest speaker Tim Williams. Tickets are $2 per person for adults and children and can be purchased from the Academy office. We hope to see you there!! The youth, grades 7-12, are invited to come to Student Survivor’s Night on Friday, May 1 st. They need to be at the church at 6:30 p.m. and can be picked up at 12:15 a.m. They will enjoy basketball, swimming, etc. at the YMCA until 8:45 p.m. They will then return to TABC to eat pizza, hear Tim Williams, and play an awesome game of the Underground Church. Elementary School Program On Thursday, May 7th, the elementary school students will present their program “God’s Not Dead” at 7:00 p.m. Girls can wear dress pants, a skirt, or a dress, and boys should wear dress pants and a polo or dress shirt. Please do not wear jeans or t-shirts. Students should be here at 6:45 p.m. and have already been to the restroom. The doors will open at 6:20 p.m. Please keep your child with you until students are asked to come to the choir loft. National Day of Prayer There will not be a parent chapel on Wednesday, May 6th, because of National Day of Prayer on Thursday, May 7th. The National Day of Prayer will begin at noon in the church sanctuary where we will meet for a time of prayer. Afterwards, we will have a picnic lunch at the Recreation Area or in the gym depending on the weather. Students should pack their lunch and bring a towel or blanket to sit on. Parents may bring chairs or blankets with them. Please contact the Academy office with questions. Middle/High School Program 17th, On Sunday, May our middle and high school students will be ministering as a thank you to our church family for their support of the Academy. The program will begin at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday night in the Tennessee Avenue Baptist Church sanctuary. Elementary school students are invited to also attend and will be asked to come join the middle and high school students at the end to sing “We Believe”. Please make plans to attend if at all possible. You will be blessed!! End of the Year Celebration 18th, On Monday, May kindergarten through fifth grade students will get to enjoy blow-ups for an end of the year celebration. We will have pizza, chips, drinks, and get to enjoy a great time. Middle school and high school students will also get to enjoy the pizza, chips, and drinks. We are thankful to Mike Guffey for blessing us with this event again this year. We really appreciate it!! Last Week of School During the last week of school, students may wear regular clothes. Please make sure handbook guidelines are followed especially with tightness, and length of shorts or skirts.
