LESSON PLAN Teacher: Christian Sonier Lesson Date: Lesson Title: Periods: 1-3 Subject: Computer Maintenance Week of September 8th Input and Output Devices (Project) Required Materials: 1. Computers 2. Going with the Flow PDF Objectives Student Objectives: The student will be able to identify the role of the CPU, types of memory storage and their purposes, the flow of information between storage devices to the microprocessor and RAM, the purposes of external and internal components, and specialized input and output devices TEKS: 130.273 (c), 4(A)(F)(G)(H), Lead-in Skills/Concepts: The students will learn about input and output devices as they relate to computer. Instructional Component Guided Practice: Students will complete a project dealing with the computers input/output devices. I will give them instructions and guidelines as to how this project is to be completed. Independent Practice Students will research the different input and output devices out in today’s market. Students will also look for specialized input and output devices designed for those persons who need additional assistance using the computer. Once the research is completed, the students will proceed to answer the three scenario questions given based off of the research that they have done. Summary Wrap-up Discussion: We will present the projects and discuss the information provided within each project.
