Monday
2-6-12
Bell Work: Work on filling out the blanks in the sentences with the correct word. Then we’ll work on division.
Objective: Present vocabulary: MI comida favorita talk about foods and beverages, ask questions, say which foods
you like and don’t like. Mi comida learn about and compare foods from different countries and being able to tell us
what people eat.
Standards: Engage in conversation, present information, products and perspectives compare cultures, real life
situation, and practice, demonstrate understanding of written and spoken language.
Guided Practice: we will go over the new vocabulary words together as a class.
Individual Practice: Then the students will have to copy the words in Spanish translate them into English and use
them in a sentence in Spanish. Allowing them to understand and reinforce their understanding of the word.
Assessment: Students will be assessed on their knowledge of the words learned today.
Tuesday
2-7-12
Bell Work: Student will answer the questions on the board and then have some division problems.
Objective: Practicing using the verb gustar by answer question of what activities you enjoy doing throughout the day.
Standards: Engage in conversation, present information, products and perspectives compare cultures, real life
situation, and practice, demonstrate understanding of written and spoken language.
Guided Practice: I will introduce the new project to the students.
Individual Practice: Students will have to come up with 5 different daily activities and make a graph.
Assessment: Students will be assessed on their different activities for their project.
Wednesday
2-8-12
Bell Work: Students will fill in the blanks with the correct answer and then take a division test.
Objective: Practice gustar to express what foods you like and don’t like.
Standards: Engage in conversation, present information, products and perspectives compare cultures, real life
situation, and practice, demonstrate understanding of written and spoken language.
Guided Practice: I will continue working with the new vocabulary words.
Individual Practice: Students will work on some activities that reinforce the vocabulary words learned on Tuesday.
Assessment: Students will be assessed on their understanding of the vocabulary words.
Thursday
2-9-12
Bell Work: Will work on some division problems.
Objective: Practice using gustar to express what activities they like or dislike to do.
Standards: Engage in conversation, present information, products and perspectives compare cultures, real life
situation, and practice, demonstrate understanding of written and spoken language.
Guided Practice: We will go over the presentation of their graphs and answer any questions the students have.
Individual Practice: Students will have to present their graphs and explain them to the class in English.
Assessment: Students will be assessed on their understanding of the verb gustar.
Friday
2-10-12
Bell Work: Students will have to complete the answer on some math problems.
Objective: Present vocabulary: time, school and class schedules, school subject, classroom activities, practice
numbers, and understand activity vocabulary in context.
Standards: Engage in conversation, present information, products and perspectives compare cultures, real life
situation, and practice, demonstrate understanding of written and spoken language.
Guided Practice: I will give time to the students to go over their vocabulary words with a partner or study by
themselves for their assessment.
Individual Practice: Students will have to be able to translate the vocabulary word given to them from English
language into the Spanish language.
Assessment: Students will be assessed on their knowledge of the vocabulary words learned on Monday.
