As Christians we believe that what Christ Jesus founded was the Church – the Catholic Church.
Have you ever wondered why so many Catholics have left our faith? The 2014 PEW Survey shows that:




1/2 of all the millennial population (American’s born between 1982 and 2000) who were raised Catholic
have left the faith
For every 6.5 adult members who have left only one new member has joined.
Only 4% of adult Catholics attend Mass weekly
45% attend once a month and on major holidays.
Sadly, today’s remaining Catholics have become a lukewarm population of the sacramentalized but not yet
evangelized. God has no grandchildren, because cultural Catholicism is dead as a retention strategy. The
remedy is to form intentional disciples who believe in a close and personal relationship with the God who is
love.

FORMING INTENTIONAL DISCIPLES

set free form sin, sorrow, inner emptiness and loneliness.
With Christ joy is constantly born anew” (Evangelii Gaudium).
Please join us as we set out to form a community of Intentional Disciples who believe in a close and personal
relationship with the God who is love. Discipleship is infectious; because “they will know we are Christians by
our love”, and they will want a share in our joy. Building intentional disciples is an endeavor that has to begin
in our parish life that it may spill out into our community, because we are all in this together. None of us are
saved by ourselves alone: we are saved as members of the Church, the body of Christ.
This will be a nine session study in which you will come to know a close and personal relationship with the God
who is love by becoming an intentional discipleship of Christ Jesus. There will be two opportunities for study
and discussion:
TUESDAY EVENINGS following the 6:30pm Mass until 8pm beginning on February 16, 2016

THURSDAY MORNINGS from 9:30 – 11:00am beginning February 18, 2016
