be brought to school every day.

AP Drawing Wish List
The concentration portfolio is a student directed portfolio, mainly completed at home. The
following is a list of additional art supplies your child may wish to use at home for AP Art,
depending on their media choices and needs of their portfolio. These items are not
mandatory, but are useful. Supplies purchased by art department may not be taken home
for use outside of school. Since all students will have different concentrations, there will be a
need for more individualized supplies as they become more involved in this portfolio.
Paints: basic set of watercolor, gouache, acrylic, water-based student oils (oils cannot be
used in school), paint palette for saving paint, various brushes, palette knives
Papers: Watercolor, pastel/charcoal, canvas, illustration board- no larger than 18x24, any
color/price, heavy weight paper 70lb and higher, ask for different kinds of paper for different
media.
Pastels: oil pastel, chalk pastel, conte crayon, pastel pencils (Faber Castell Pitt Pastel Pencils),
Prismacolor NuPastel hard pastels
Charcoal: Compressed, Soft, range of tone, charcoal pencils
Inks: India ink, any color, type (Higgins drawing ink)
Pens: numbered micro drawing pens for different line widths
Extras: sharpeners, kneaded erasers, vinyl erasers, blending tortillions, masking tape, drafting
tape
Anything else needed for at home drawing/painting for concentration
Please Note: During the Second Semester of AP Drawing students will need to purchase
black mat board to mount and display their Quality artwork on.
