This show is a qualifier for the BSPS “Premier League” under rule 517 in the BSPS
handbook.
This show is a qualifier for “The BSPS Challenge” under rule 516 in the BSPS
handbook.
This show is a qualifier for the BSPS Best Rider of the Year.
This show is affiliated to the NCPA affiliation no: 103/15 and is a qualifier for the
NCPA Pony of the Year Show in September 2015. 1st & 2nd prizewinners in
appropriate classes will qualify.
This show is affiliated to P(UK) (no 015/W15/7521) and is a qualifier for the P(UK)
Championships.
P(UK) Brineton Lead Rein Pony Championship, P(UK) Brineton First Ridden Pony
Championship
Classes are qualifiers for P(UK)Supreme Championship 2015 and P(UK) Winter
Classic 2016. Qualification cards will be awarded in the ring and Golden Tickets will
be awarded to the champion/winner of each affiliated section.
This show is affiliated to the Senior Showing & Dressage Ltd. The highest place
home produced senior pony/horse 15years old and over within Classes 115 & 117 –
119 will qualify for the Summer Championship Show on Sunday 29th June 2014.
Special Prizes:
The Eustace (Warrington) Ltd. Perpetual Challenge Cup will be awarded to the best
pony in Class 114.
The SA Okell `Perpetual Challenge Cup will be awarded to the best pony in Class
115.
The Humphrey Fairclough Perpetual Challenge Cup will be awarded to the best pony
in Class 116.
The WH Capper Perpetual Challenge Cup will be awarded to the Champion pony in
Classes 117 – 119.
The Hargreaves Rosebowl will be awarded to the champion pony in Classes 115 &
116.

BSPS Mixed Height Novice Show Pony
Mare or gelding, 4 years old or over, not exceeding 148cms. Riders not
to have attained their 17th birthday before 1st January in the current
year and to be correct age for the height of the pony they ride. Ponies
to be shown in suitable Snaffle Bridles.
BSPS Leading Rein Pony
Mare or gelding, 4 years old or over, not exceeding 122cms. Riders not
have attained their 8th birthday before 1st January in the current year.
No child under the age of 3 years may compete. Ponies to be shown in
suitable snaffle bridles. Attendants must affix the lead rein to the
noseband on which it must remain whilst the pony is in the ring.
BSPS First Ridden Pony
Mare or gelding, 4 years old or over, not exceeding 122cms. Riders not
to have attained their 10th birthday before 1st January in the current
year. Ponies to be shown in suitable snaffle bridles. No cantering
allowed except for individual performances.
Mini Championship The ponies placed 1st and 2nd in Classes 115 and
116 are eligible to go forward to the Mini show pony
Championship.The Champion will qualify for the BSPS CHAMPION
OF CHAMPIONS

Mare or gelding 4 years or over, exceeding 128cms but not exceeding
138cms. Riders not to have attained their 15th birthday before 1st

Mare or gelding 4 years or over, exceeding 138cms but not exceeding
148cms. Riders not to have attained their 17th birthday before 1st
January in the current year. The 1st and 2nd prizewinners qualify for
the BSPS Championship Show
BSPS – Intermediate Show Riding Type 153cms
Mare or gelding 4 years or over, exceeding 146cms but not exceeding
153cms. Riders not to have attained their 25th birthday before 1st
January in the current year. The 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizewinners qualify
for the BSPS Championship
BSPS – Intermediate Show Riding Type 158cms
Mare or gelding 4 years or over, exceeding 153cms but not exceeding
158cms.

Part Bred Welsh Ridden Class – NCPA Qualifier
Mare or gelding 4 years or over, rider any age, pony mixed height
class.
Championship: The Ponies placed first and second in Classes 117 - 119 are eligible to
go forward to the championship. The Champion will qualify for the BSPS “Mitten
Asbestos” Champion of Champions.
1st and 2nd placed in classes 25, 120 and 121 are eligible to go forward to the
Championship.
The Champion will qualify for the BSPS “Mitten Asbestos” Champion of Champions.
This will be held in Ring 6 following the SHP Championship.
