Class 13: The BSPS OPEN 133CM SHP Mare or gelding 4 yrs or over, exceeding 122cm but not exceeding 133cm. Riders not to
have attained their 14th birthday before the first of January in the current year.
Class 14: The BSPS OPEN 143CM SHP Mare or gelding 4 yrs or over, exceeding 133 but not exceeding 143cm. Riders not to have
attained their 17th birthday before the first of January in the current year.
Class 15: The BSPS OPEN 153CM SHP Mare or gelding 4 yrs or over, exceeding 143cm but not exceeding 153cm. Riders not to
have attained their 20th birthday before the first of January in the current year.
BSPS Open Show Hunter Pony Championship 1st and 2nd prize winners from classes 12 - 15 The champion will qualify for
the BSPS “www.handleyequestrian.co.uk” Champion of Champions.
Class 16: The BSPS Open Lead Rein of Hunter Type. Mare or gelding 4 yrs or over, not exceeding 122cm. Rider not to have
attained their 9th birthday before first of January in the current year.
Class 17: The BSPS First Pony of Show Hunter Type. Mare or gelding 4 yrs or over not exceeding 122cm. Rider not to have
attained their 10th birthday before first of January in current year.

CHERIF RIDDEN REGISTERED ANGLO AND PART-BRED ARAB CHAMPIONSHIP
Judge: Chloe Chubb (Kent)
This show is a qualifier for the Cherif Championship 2016. Open to registered Anglo and Part-bred Arab stallions, mares and
geldings, four years old or over, any height. All Part-bred Arabs must contain the minimum 12.5% Arab blood. The final will be
held at the Cherif Championship show, Addington Manor Equestrian Centre, Addington, Bucks on Wednesday 14th September
2016.
All details and Qualifying Cards from Miss Lynda Temple,67, High Street, Codford, Wiltshire, BA12 ONB. Cards are £25.00 each.

All exhibitors are issued with colour coded Qualifying Cards, which state the height section of the Horse/Pony. Competitors must
carry their qualifying cards with them in the ring to be signed by the Judge. Failure to produce the Card for signature means nonqualification. No cards are to be bought into the ring once the class has started. A photocopy of the AHS registration must be
produced with the entry form.
Class 18: The BSPS RIHS Anglo and Part Bred Arab. Mare , Stallion or Gelding 4yrs or over, exceeding 148cm. Riders any age.
This class is a qualifier for the Cherif Championship 2015. To qualify: One White Card (over 148 – 153 cms) One Green Card
(over 153 cms). Will be ridden by the judge. Two may qualify. The highest placed entry within the first four in the class at (a) up
to and including 153 cms (15hh) and (b) over 153 cms (15hh) will qualify. No entry placed higher than fourth may qualify; even if
only one height section is covered by the top four in the class (see rules)
Class 19: the BSPS RIHS Anglo and Part Bred Arab. Mare, Stallion or Gelding 4 yrs or over, not exceeding 148cm Riders any age.
This class is a qualifier for the Cherif Championship 2015. To qualify: One Pink Card (138cms & under) and One Blue Card (over
138cms – 148cms). Will not be ridden by the judge at qualifying shows, but will be ridden by a lightweight adult at the Cherif
Championship final. Two entries will qualify. The highest placed entries within the first four in the class, who has not already
qualified, will qualify (see rules)
Anglo and Part Bred Arab Championship 1st and 2nd prize winners classes 18 & 19
Class 20: The BSPS Open Show Pony Mare or gelding 4yrs old and over, not exceeding 128cm. Riders not to have attained their
13th birthday before the 1st January in the current year.
Class 21: The BSPS Open Show Pony Mare or gelding 4yrs old and over exceeding 128cm but not exceeding 138cm. Riders not to
have attained their 15th birthday before the 1st January in the current year
Class 22: the BSPS Open Show Pony Mare or gelding 4yrs old and over, exceeding 138cm but not exceeding 148cm. Riders not to
have attained their 17th birthday before the 1st January in the current year.
BSPS OPEN SHOW PONY CHAMPIONSHIP 1st and 2nd prize winners classes 20 to 22
Champion will qualify for the BSPS “www.handleyequestrian.co.uk” Champion of Champions
There will be a lunch break following the Show Pony Championship and prior to the start of Class 23
Class 23: The BSPS Open Lead Rein Pony Mare or gelding 4yrs old and over, not exceeding 122cm. Riders not to have attained
their 8th birthday before 1st January in current year.
Class 24: The BSPS 1st Ridden Pony Mare or gelding 4yrs and over, not exceeding 122cm. Riders not to have attained their 10th
birthday before the 1st January in the current year
Class 25: The BSPS Tiny Tots First Ridden. Mare of Gelding, 4 years old and over, not exceeding 122cms. Riders not to have
attained their 8th birthday before the 1st January in the current year.
Mini Championship 1st and 2nd prize winners from classes 23- 24
Champion will qualify for the B.S.P.S. Champion of Champions
Class 26: The BSPS RIHS Small Intermediate SRT Mare or gelding 4yrs old and over, exceeding 146cm and not exceeding 153cm.
Riders not to have attained their 25th birthday before the first of January in the current year.
Class 27: The BSPS RIHS Large Intermediate SRT Mare or gelding 4 yrs old and over, exceeding 153cm but not exceeding 158cm.
Riders not to have attained their 25th birthday before the 1st January in the current yr.

From the M5 exit at J23 and at the first roundabout (above motorway) take the Bridgwater
exit. At the next roundabout, turn right and take the A38 northwards towards Highbridge.
Continue for approximately 2 miles. After Pawlett, a sign to Stretcholt is seen on your left
hand side. Turn left into Red Lane, and continue for about half a mile. The entrance to
Stretcholt Farm is straight ahead at the sharp right-hand bend in the road.
Drive VERY CLOSE to automatic gates and they will open!

RULES
ALL RULES AS PER 2016 BSPS RULE AND SHOW HAND BOOK. BSPS RULES MUST BE ADHERED TO AT ALL TIMES.
This show is affiliated to the British Show Pony Society and all persons entering, competing, showing or otherwise taking part whether a
member or not shall be deemed to the jurisdiction of the BSPS.
This show is a qualifier for the BSPS Summer Championship Show 2016. The 1st and 2nd prize winners in the Open SHPs Open L/R F/R and
Open Show Pony classes will qualify. The 1 st, 2nd & 3rd in the Open Intermediate classes and Heritage M&M will qualify.
This show is a qualifier for the 2016 Royal International Horse Show. The highest placed pony not already qualified from the first three will
qualify in the following classes: Open Intermediate SRT small and large, Open Intermediate SH, Pretty Polly Heritage LR & 1st Ridden, , Heritage
LR and 1st Ridden. In these classes ponies must be registered, owned and ridden by a BSPS Member. Except for the Anglo and Part-bred Arabs
who must be registered with the AHS.
This show is a qualifier for the BSPS Classic Security (UK) Ltd Challenge the highest placed pony in the L/R 1st Ridden and LR of HT, Open
Show Pony, Open SHP and Open Intermediate SRT, & SH that has not qualified for the 2016 HOYS in the appropriate class will qualify. If the
highest placed pony has already qualified the qualification will be awarded to the next eligible pony.
BSPS Premier League Competition: This qualification will be awarded to the 1st 2nd, 3rd and 4th placed ponies in the following Open classes that
are NOT RIHS qualifying classes. Lead Rein & First Ridden, 128cm, 138cm, 148cm, Open Show Ponies, Lead Rein of Hunter Type, 122cms,
133cms, 143cms and 153cms Show Hunter Pony.
BSPS Black Country Saddles Best Rider of the Year Competition: The best rider from each of the following classes will qualify, Open Show
Pony, SHP, Open L/R F/R L/R of HT and Open Intermediate classes and Heritage classes see rule 455.
THE BSPS HERITAGE “INDUSTRIAL SALT SUPPLIES” WOW FACTOR – Ponies that have been placed 1st in Open heritage classes
will qualify for the “Winner of Winners” at the BSPS Summer Championship Show 2016
Neither the BSPS nor the committee, any judge, steward or any other official shall be liable for injury or damage to any person, animal, article or
property. It is a condition of entry that each exhibitor or competitor shall indemnify the organizers and hold them harmless against such matters
aforesaid.
Correctly secured Skull Caps/Riding Hats Nos. PAS015, (BS) EN1384 -20, BSEN1384 ,VGI, ASTMF1163 (2004) with SEI mark, SNELL
E2001, Australian & New Zealand All AS/NZS 3838 1998 MUST be worn by riders at all times when mounted.
The committee reserves the right to alter the times of classes or the Judge if necessary.
All objections must be submitted in writing within 30 minutes of the completion of the class to the secretary with a deposit of £30.
Only tack permissible in the ring in BSPS classes is allowed on the showground when mounted.
No exercising in the rings anyone doing so will be disqualified.
No entry fees will be refunded and no substitutions will be allowed.
All prize money to be collected on the day or it will be forfeited.
All horses or ponies must be 4 years old or over. Mare or Gelding only unless otherwise stated.
Unmannerly behaviour towards officials will not be tolerated.
NO BOXES TO BE MUCKED OUT ON SHOWGROUND £10 PENALTY BYE LAW.
