An introduction to various technologies that can be incorporated into lesson plans for
teaching or for student projects. Workshop will demonstrate multiple technologies as an
example of how they can be used in a class setting.
Unfortunately, prejudice, discrimination and hatred are part of our culture. “Bias”,
produced by the co-presenters, explores these issues through a series of interviews
with individuals who have been directly affected by these negative beliefs. In this
workshop we will explore the affect bias has on individuals and share effective
strategies for dealing with these issues in classroom discussions. We will examine what
we can do as individuals, or collectively, to combat these destructive behaviors.
