Video 1. This 62-year-old cadaver underwent extended subperiosteal dissection, bony cap
removal, lateral and medial oblique osteotomies, and use of a periosteal elevator to show the
movement of the bony sidewall. The bone is then removed to examine the mucosal integrity.
Video 2. This 33-year-old woman underwent extensive subperiosteal exposure, bony cap
removal, osteotomies, and assessment of lateral wall movement. Speculum examination is
utilized to assess the mucosal integrity after complete osteotomies. Septal harvest with
piezoelectric instrumentation (PEI) is also demonstrated.
Video 3. This 42-year-old woman underwent extensive subperiosteal exposure and ultrasonic
rhinosculpture (URS) for bony wall shaping. Also demonstrated is septal harvest with
piezoelectric instrumentation (PEI) as well as caudal septal relocation with anterior nasal spine
fixation. Results at 6 months are shown.
