The Organisation
The Australian Stock Horse Society is a Membership based, Not for Profit organisation and has an aim to preserve
and promote the bloodlines of the Australian Stock Horse. The Society is Australia's largest equine recreational and
pleasure association, with more than 9,500 Members and in excess of 180,000 registered horses in the Stud Book.
The Role
In any Membership Based Organisation, Events Marketing covers a broad range of functions ranging from staging
Local and National Events to managing the coaching clinic program and building long term mutually beneficial
partnerships. This is a diverse and exciting role with good career possibilities, and is critical to the ongoing success
of the Society.
The Team Leader role leads a dedicated Team of 2 people and the ultimate goal is effectively running ASHS events,
securing sponsorship arrangements and liaising with the broader equine industry.
The role is a permanent full time position with an attractive base salary and superannuation package. As with all
roles with Events responsibilities, there will be some weekend and after-hours work.
This role reports directly to the General Manager and key responsibilities of the Team include:







Sports and Events Management
National Show Project Management
Manage coaching clinics/development program
Liaison with various Committees & Branches
Securing & nurturing sponsor relationships
Ensure effective marketing & promotion of the ASHS brand
Preparation of reports for the General Manager & Board of Directors
