Australian Automotive Research Centre
Australia’s unique multi-user Proving Ground. A 1,000 hectare site, located 25 minutes
from Geelong, accommodating virtually all driving conditions, range of surfaces and

Carbon Nexus
A globally unique open access carbon fibre/composite research facility that offers
state-of-the-art research and analysis laboratories. Features pilot scale and research

Centre for Intelligent Systems Research

Avalon Airport
1,753 hectares of land 40 minutes west of Melbourne’s CBD and 20 minutes east of
Geelong. The Avalon Airport Masterplan provides considerable opportunity for nonaviation related activity including manufacturing, logistics and retail. Considerable
hanger space is available, with opportunity to purpose build if required.
GREP
Geelong Ring Road Employment Precinct is Geelong’s largest designated precinct for
industrial development. The area encompasses 500 hectares of land zoned for heavy

Ceasing operations in December 2014, Alcoa Australia had an aluminium smelter with
associated activities located at Point Henry. Point Henry is an established industrial
area accommodating a range of heavy engineering operations and large scale
manufacturing plants.
