KOSCIUSKO AVENUE MAIN DRAIN CATCHMENT AT CORIO: DRAINAGE / FLOOD STUDY DRAFT REPORT Parts of Corio are known to experience frequent and serious flooding related to the stormwater drainage system. The Kosciusko Avenue Main Drain Catchment is of particular concern. The map below shows the Catchment downstream of the Geelong Ring Road: KOSCIUSKO AV MAIN DRAIN CATCHMENT DOWNSTREAM OF GEELONG RING ROAD The City has engaged specialist engineering consultants to undertake the Kosciusko Avenue Main Drain Catchment Drainage / Flood Study. The study is utilising computer modelling to identify properties that are affected by a ‘once in one hundred year’ flood. Council is seeking public comment on the Draft Report of the Kosciusko Avenue Main Drain Catchment Drainage / Flood Study. The Draft Report and Provisional Flood Extent Map are on exhibition for public comment from the 31st January 2011 until the 21st February 2011.
