Russell Wilson and Kasey Kahne co-hosted concert and golf event to benefit Strong Against Cancer initiative
SEATTLE, WASH./CHARLOTTE, N.C. (June 15, 2015) – Seahawks QB Russell Wilson and Washington-raised
NASCAR driver Kasey Kahne, announced today that Redmond, Wash.-based Aegis Living signed on as the
presenting sponsor of The DRIVE charity concert and golf event scheduled for June 29-30 at Suncadia Resort in Cle
Elum, Wash. Aegis Living is a national leader in senior assisted-living and memory care facilities throughout the
states of Washington, California and Nevada.
The second-annual DRIVE event will feature over a dozen sports and entertainment celebrities and has designated
Seattle Children’s and their Strong Against Cancer initiative to be the beneficiary of The DRIVE.
“We’re honored to be part of this remarkable Strong Against Cancer initiative headed up by Russell and Kasey,” said
Aegis Living CEO and Founder Dwayne Clark. “My team at Aegis Living may be a leader in the assisted-living

The 2015 event is sold out with the support of many other sponsors, including major partners Farmers Insurance,
Great Clips, Financial Advocates, NW Chevy, Virginia Mason, Alaska Airlines and QFC. The DRIVE promises to be a
remarkable event, giving Wilson and Kahne the opportunity to make an even bigger impact at Seattle Children’s and
in the world of pediatric cancer.
Together, with the help from fans and corporate partners, they will raise awareness and valuable funds for research
that supports immunotherapy – a medical treatment that harnesses the power of a child’s immune cells to fight
cancer. This breakthrough treatment is giving hope to thousands of young people all over the world battling cancer

Former The Voice television show star performer Preston Pohl returns to kick off the two-day fundraising event by
hosting a concert on Monday night featuring a mix of musicians. Celebrities that will attend festivities over the two
days are Wilson’s Seahawks teammates Jermaine Kearse and RJ Archer; sports stars Denny Hamlin (NASCAR
driver), Michael Waltrip (NASCAR driver), Kirkland, Wash.-native Bryan Walters (NFL Jacksonville Jaguars), Detlef
Schrempf (former NBA player for Seattle SuperSonics), Adam Eaton (former MLB player), and Grant Fuhr (former
NHL player); actors Kevin Sorbo, Frankie Muniz, Lane Garrison, Gary Valentine, Richard Karn, and Debbe Dunning;
plus sports news personalities Marty Smith (ESPN reporter) and Molly McGrath (FOX Sports 1 anchor). For the full

Strong Against Cancer is a nationwide initiative inspired by the immunotherapy discoveries at the Ben Towne Center
for Childhood Cancer Research at Seattle Children’s Research Institute. This initiative is a team effort on the part of
hospitals, researchers, doctors, nurses, corporations, organizations and individuals. The captain of the team is
Russell Wilson, quarterback of the Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks, who learned about immunotherapy
during his regular visits to Seattle Children’s Hospital. Clinical trials for this therapy are now underway and are
producing exceptional results in eliminating childhood leukemia. The aim of the Strong Against Cancer team is to
create a national philanthropic initiative with worldwide implications for curing childhood cancers through these
