Rules & Regulations
This Show is run under Show Horse Council of Australasia Inc. Rules & Regulations
and we adhere to the SHCOA Inc. Risk Management Policy, December 2004.
1.
Any Open or Show Hunter Horse which wins either its height class, Champion
or Reserve Champion is not eligible to compete in the second ring.
2.
Competitors may show either as a Show Hunter or Open, NOT BOTH.
3.
Newcomer – A horse that has not been shown under saddle, (racing excepted),
prior to the 1st of January in its first year of being shown.
All horses in Newcomer classes shall be shown in a snaffle bit.
4.
Preliminary – A horse that has not been placed 1st, Champion or Reserve in an
Open ridden Hack class/event at any Royal Show including the R.N.A., Bathurst,
Toowoomba and Launceston Royals, or has never been the Winner or Runner Up
at the Grand National, any State HOTY Title or has never been the Winner of any
HOTY Intermediate or Preliminary Title.

If the competitor is not a member of the Show Horse Council of Australasia Inc
an $8.00 insurance levy must be paid before competing.

SHCOA Membership Card must be shown.
7.
$2.00 per class.
9.
Entry is voluntary.
By entry, all competitors and exhibitors compete at their own risk.
10. Horses may only be shown in one of the following classes: Adults, Childs.
11. Children under 12 years must ride a horse not exceeding 14.2hh.
