Students will…
1. Continue to improve their listening, reading, writing, and speaking skills in Spanish. The
class is conducted in Spanish and students will use Spanish the entire time!
Watch various short films (cortometrajes) and feature-length films in Spanish.
Complete conversations / presentations / projects collaboratively and individually.
Write compositions in Spanish.
Study cultural practices and products included in the Spanish 4
curriculum. Demonstrate proficiency in these areas by successfully completing a variety
of assessments related to thematic units on personal relations, pastimes, trips and the
city, technology and science, the economy and workplace, pop culture and the media,
politics and religion, and history and civilization.
6. Practice the following grammatical concepts: the indicative mood, ser and estar, gustar,
adjectives, present and past progressive tenses, present and past perfect tenses,
comparatives, preterite and imperfect tenses, direct and indirect object pronouns, future
tense, the conditional tense, reflexive verbs, commands, compound sentences, the
subjunctive mood, and the present, imperfect, and past perfect of the subjunctive.

Política de asistencia:
Attendance and punctuality is extremely important because new material is presented
daily at a rigorous pace. Therefore, frequent absences will be detrimental to student
success. Being late disrupts the class, so be on time to class.

Política de tarea:
All homework is to be done on time, at the beginning of each class period. Some
assignments will be for credit.
When there is no written assignment, you are expected to review vocab and notes on
your own. Do all extra practices posted on our Google classroom page. Check this
page for other announcements, too.
Students with an excused absence have ONE WEEK to make up work (or your grade
will remain a ZERO). Tests and quizzes will be taken in the study hall.

available. Also, grades will NOT be rounded at the end of the semester! You must
earn at least a 75.0% in order to continue to Spanish 5 or AP Spanish.
