Evaluation Petrophysical of Reservoir El Garia in Gulf Gabes (Offshore). Abstract: The main purpose of this study is to evaluate the Eocene El Garia reservoir localized on the Sfax permit (Tunisian offshore) which is characterized by the presence of numerous and sources rock. The main reservoirs are the carbonates series of El Garia, Reineche, Douleb, Bireno and Zebbag geological formation. The most important mature source rocks are the lower Eocene Bou Dabbous limestone; Bahloul laminated limestone and the back shale of Fahdène. This study was mainly based on log analysis interpretation considered as the first objective on the Gulf of Gabes, the reservoir shows an important petroleum potential not yet well explored. The paper presents an integrated study comprising wells data and seismic sections. The main objective is an evaluation of petroleum potential of the Gulf of Gabes, in particularly El Garia reservoir rocks overall the study area. This reservoir is associated to the Cherahil/Souar formation clay and marl which are considered as seal rock. Interpretation of calibrated seismic section supports the reservoir rock organization already by the wells data. Indeed the lateral variation of El Garia thickness recall to the horst and graben structuring associated to a NW-SE faults system affecting the Gulf of Gabes. By the use of logs, Petrophysical properties (porosity, permeability and saturation) were evaluated and analyzed to determine vertical Petrophysical distribution on wells. This study put in evidence that the top part of the El Garia presents good reservoir properties. This study will be performed later by the integration of new data. Key words: Gulf of Gabes, El Garia reservoir, petroleum system, seismic survey, log analysis, Petrophysical properties.
