Selection Criteria
The WHCL Nursing Program selection process is merit-based, using the point system below. In the event of a tie for an
available seat, a combination of TEAS score and GE completion will be used for the final selection of candidates.
Point categories:
Cumulative GPA
Cumulative GPA ÷ 4 x .2 x 100 = points
Prerequisite GPA
Prerequisite GPA ÷ 4 x .3 x 100= points
Prerequisite attempts
5 points subtracted for each repeat
All GE complete
-2 points each if missing psychology, sociology,
humanities, speech or nutrition;
-5 points each if missing math or chemistry
Prior healthcare experience
(with appropriate documentation*)
Veteran priority
(with appropriate documentation)
