dVT Group: Intellect you can rely on.
In 1995, de Vries Tayeh opened for business and launched a new approach to insolvency services.
We started our business from scratch. We have taken the same journey as business owners in creating a
thriving enterprise and overcoming challenges – so we know firsthand the issues owners face.
At de Vries Tayeh we have the knowledge and practical expertise of a big practice, and the personal touch
that only a smaller firm can offer. This combination allows us to deliver superior and cost-effective outcomes
to our clients, and to develop tailored and innovative business strategies.
Today, trading conditions are more complex than ever. To succeed in this environment, small to mediumsized business owners need to take a holistic approach to their operations, including devising the right
corporate strategies, managing acquisitions and undertaking succession planning.
As business conditions have evolved, de Vries Tayeh has too. We have expanded to become dVT Group: an
integrated advisory practice that helps you conquer the challenges in your business. Whether you are
looking to create a market-leading operation or planning for the future, or dealing with insolvency, our agile
and skilled group of advisers can help.
Our services
dVT Group consists of four divisions working closely together to deliver value to our clients.

de Vries Tayeh – our insolvency practice
We understand that insolvency can be a highly stressful situation for many people, including business
owners, employees, lenders and shareholders. We take the time to understand the concerns of all parties,
and then apply a rigorous and ethical framework to achieve the best possible outcomes. This often takes
place in high-pressure situations where a lot is at stake.
Our fully qualified and experienced team works across all types of personal and corporate insolvency
appointments, including the following areas.
Personal
 Bankruptcy
 Part X agreements
 Informal arrangements
 Debt agreements
Corporate
 Creditors’ voluntary liquidation
 Voluntary administrations
 Deed of company arrangement
 Members’ voluntary liquidation
 Receiverships
 Official liquidations
 Agent for mortgagee
dVT Consulting – our consulting arm
We have seen many companies fall into insolvency through a combination of unfavourable circumstances
and poor decision making.
In 2008, we established dVT Consulting to help business owners manage their operations more effectively to
avoid insolvency. Our team has worked with clients of different sizes and from a variety of industries. We
operate alongside specialist legal and accounting advisers to ensure our clients get the precise information
they need.
dVT Consulting operates across two streams: helping companies address solvency challenges to achieve
business growth; and managing companies’ investigative and reporting needs. Within these streams, our
experts undertake a wide range of tasks including:
 turnaround management
 corporate strategy
 business acquisitions and valuations
 due diligence
 pre-lending reviews
 forensic accounting
 litigation support
 addressing solvency challenges
 asset protection.
dVT Advisory – our advisory operation
We know the tremendous effort it can take to grow a company and maximise profits. To succeed in business,
owners need drive and determination. They also need high-quality, specialist advice from experts that have
been there before.
dVT Advisory is focused on giving independent advice to businesses with a minimum turnover of $10 million
that are looking to supercharge their growth strategies. We work with business owners, boards, lenders and
managers. Our team prides itself on delivering practical, honest and easy-to-understand advice that can
drive business improvements.
dVT Advisory specialises in:
 developing corporate strategies
 designing effective growth plans
 improving return on investment
 boosting profits.
We mesh seamlessly with your current advisory team – including accountants, tax professionals and lawyers
– and other experts from within dVT Group. This ensures our strategies are effective across the different
elements in your business.
dVT Succession – our business succession planning practice
We know that today’s business owners won’t be working in their operations forever. At some point, they will
need to handover or sell the business. However, in our experience, some owners are not prepared for
succession and this can have a negative impact on their business and their lives.
At dVT Succession, we help owners exit their business in a way that maximises wealth and leads to a
meaningful life post-business.
Our experts take a comprehensive approach to succession planning that covers the financial and the
emotional. We will work with your trusted advisers to develop a tailored strategy that meets your needs
now and into the future.
We have also drawn on our knowledge to write a book on succession planning, titled Life After Business. You
can find more information here. http://www.lifeafterbusiness.com.au/
Our approach
dVT Group is focused on:
Clear communication: We work with you to fully understand your needs before starting work. During
engagements, we promptly answer queries, meet deadlines and issue progress reports at key intervals. We
provide detailed quotes and deliver value for money at every step.
Practical insights: In working with more than 3,000 businesses over the last two decades, we have
developed valuable insights into how owners can protect and enhance their business and assets during
insolvency and business-as-usual scenarios.
Independence: We pride ourselves on being a truly independent adviser. We are not conflicted when acting
for our clients, and bring impartiality and accountability to our work. In addition, we often work alongside
our clients’ existing professional teams. Our approach is focused on getting the best possible outcomes for
clients.
Contributing to our community: We began in western Sydney, and have a proud history of supporting the
communities where we live and work. dVT Group has a special focus on helping people with a disability, and
we raise funds for a variety of causes including the Special Olympics Australia. We also sponsor an annual
prize for rural high school students, and are actively involved with local sporting clubs.
