REPORT CARDS:
Report cards will be issued to students next Thursday, June 27 th. Teachers who
have been using student inclusive interviews as their way of reporting this school
year are using a template which looks different from previous years. The new
year-end report focuses on student self-assessment with regards to selfregulation (primary), competencies (intermediate) and BC Performance Standards
in literacy and numeracy. As usual, we look forward to any comments parents may
have with regards to this new format.
CLASSROOM SUPPLIES:
A reminder to parents NOT to purchase school supplies this summer. The school will purchase all student supplies
over the summer months. Parents will be informed in September the cost of their child’s supplies.
2013-14 CLASSROOM PLACEMENTS:
Teachers are currently placing students for the 2013-14 school year. A reminder to parents that requests are
simply that, a request, and may not be accommodated for many reasons. Total class composition, and not individual
students, must be considered when the school creates classes for 2013-14. Your understanding in this matter is
greatly appreciated.

We have many students who have library books or team jerseys that have yet to be returned to school. Please be
advised that students will not receive their report cards until these items are returned or paid for.

TOTEM POLE:
This week we unveiled our PME Totem Pole. The design of the pole was created with input from PME parents and
students. Many of our students participated in the carving of the pole. It is beautiful! Please drop by our library
to see our new addition!

 HOCKEY DAY @ CANADA DAY
July 1 – from 9am to 4pm
For the first time the Pitt Meadows Community Association will be hosting Hockey Day on Canada
Day with the festivities at the Pitt Meadows Family Rec Centre. This is a great 3 on 3 street
hockey tournament for those born 2005 or earlier – and a bucket of fun!!!
