Extended text: “The Odyssey”
In collaborative groups, list various meaning and
associations of the words Hero and Celebrity. Then, create a
Venn diagram labeling one circle Hero and one circle celebrity.
Using the brainstorm list from the board, as well as your groupcreated associations of the words Hero and Celebrity, place the
names of the people our class looks up to in the appropriate
circle of the Venn diagram: CELEBRITY, HERO, or BOTH.
