Blaise Baxter, MD received his medical degree from Dalhousie University in Nova Scotia and continued his training at the University Hospital at the University of Western Ontario and Dalhouise University where he earned his Neuroradiology Fellowship. Since moving to Chattanooga in 1999, Dr. Baxter has helped develop the Southeast Regional Stroke Center at Erlanger – one of the busiest stroke centers in the United States. In addition, he has been involved in the design modifications for various catheters and devices and has helped to refine techniques used in performing stroke interventions. Through his speaking engagements and training courses, Dr. Baxter has trained physicians – nationally and internationally. Dr. Baxter is board certified by the American Board of Radiology. Dr. Baxter is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons in Diagnostic Radiology. Dr. Baxter has been published in numerous journals including Stroke, American Surgeon, Diagnostic Neuroradiology, and the American Journal of Neuroradiology.
