Rules for 2013 Scholarship Application Your college or university with a CM program must be located in Northern California and be part of this list: Stanford, UC Berkeley, Sacramento State, Chico State, Fresno State and San Jose State universities. You must be a student currently enrolled in a degree program (any year). Advanced degree program enrollees are acceptable. Part-time students are acceptable when enrolled in a degree program. You must be pursuing a degree in Construction Management or pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering with a recognized major in Construction Management. You must currently have a cumulative GPA of at least 2.7 for the $2000 awards; you must be a student in good standing for the $1000 awards, and provide official transcripts of all undergraduate and graduate work. You may not have previously received any scholarship award from the CMAA Northern California Chapter or more than one scholarship award from the CMAA National Foundation. Scholarship winners must prepare and submit a brief video (1 minute or less) describing themselves, their favorite activities and why they want to become a professional CM. This will be shown at the Scholarship/Awards Banquet, see below. You must be available to attend the CMAA Northern California Chapter Scholarship/Awards Banquet on Thursday April 25, 2013 at the Hilton Concord, 1970 Diamond Blvd., Concord, CA 94520. The Board approves all scholarships awarded. The decisions of the CMAA Northern California Chapter Board of Directors are final. It is the intent of the CMAA Northern California Board of Directors that the scholarships reward merit as demonstrated by (a) academic excellence, (b) essay content, (c) application appearance and (d) extracurricular activities.
