I would like to share my excitement as God has called me to go on a one-week missions
trip with Royal Family KIDS Camp (royalfamilykids.org) from July 14 to July 19, 2013. Our
team of 125 volunteers from ROCKHARBOR Church and a couple of other local churches
will be traveling to a ranch in San Diego where our camp is held. The volunteers will
serve alongside one another to spend the week with 100 of our county’s abused and
neglected children ages 7-11. They are otherwise known as foster kids and are or have
been in the foster care system.
This year I will be a [counselor/support staff] and will be [spending the entire week with
2 campers, managing the sports field, etc]. Each camper gets to participate in a variety
of fun activities all week such as swimming, crawdad fishing, painting, woodworking,
crafts and more. This week is designed for them to have fun and enjoy being a kid. Our
other ministries include teaching the kids about God through daily Bible stories, drama
and worship.
We would love for you to be one of our prayer partners for this trip. We need prayer in
the following areas:

Safety in travel to camp and back
Patience and flexibility
Good health
Strength and wisdom to share God’s Word
