Thrill Ride! Event Based Science Series
A published curriculum with supporting instructional materials, including a video which Theresa
also used. Theresa used about seventy-five percent of the material in the module for two
things: Developing initial skills and knowledge about roller coaster design; and amusement
park career information prior to selecting roles for the group design phase. Theresa showed
this video as the initial activity beginning the unit and to prompt thinking about experiences on
amusement park rides.
World's Greatest Roller Coaster Thrills
Roller Coaster Series
Shows statistical features of roller coasters. It was shown at the beginning of Phase 3 to give
students ideas on what features to include when designing their group roller coaster.
