Mechanics *Remember that you lose points for every error
____ I have capitalized & correctly spelled every authority, speaker, author and location.
____ Every time I use the title of an article, it is in quotes and major words are capitalized.
____ I do not use personal pronouns (I, we, our, etc.) or second person pronouns (you, your, etc.) at any point in body
paragraphs.
____ I have checked to make sure that I use all comma rules correctly.
**When you have finished this checklist, print your essay & turn it in to turnitin.com. You will then need to underline
your thesis statement. You will also need to label each part of your TSLEE/SLEEC paragraphs. As always, you can just
write the letter (T, S, L, Ev, Ex1, etc.) next to the corresponding sentence OR you can highlight them & make me a key of
the corresponding colors. . In Body #2, you must also label your concession and rebuttal. In your closing, you must
label your restatement of thesis and call to action. Label all persuasive devices, such as repetition, rhetorical question,
anecdotes, facts/statistics, loaded words, etc. you use throughout the entire essay. When finished with the labeling,
turn it in to me.
