Helly Hansen Odin Flow Hiker HT Offers Unprecedented Temperature
Regulation
OSLO, Norway (Fall/Winter 2014-15) — Long hikes and light
backpacking trips can be a grind with the wrong footwear. Helly
Hansen takes an aggressive step forward in hiking boot
performance with the men’s and women’s Odin Flow Hiker HT, a
highly technical boot built for recreational and advanced hikers.
The all-new Odin Flow Hiker
HT offers unprecedented
temperature control thanks
to its dual-layer lining
featuring the innovative
H2Flow™ technology. The
unique design’s positive
and negative spaces trap
air, adding substantial,
weightless warmth. Hikers
can self-adjust the ankle
opening to funnel heat out
of the foot box and up
through the boot’s ankletall shaft. The result:
feet stay warm and dry,
keeping athletes’ body temperatures optimally regulated from the
ground up.
“Moisture management and temperature control is of foremost
importance in footwear designs. It’s at the core of comfort and
sustained physical performance in high-intensity activities,”
said Kristoffer Eidsgaard, footwear category manager for Helly
Hansen.
The Odin Flow Hiker HT offers superb waterproof breathable
protection with its Helly Tech® construction. Other smart
features include a full-length rigid midsole-plate for increased
stability and to minimize torsion, a seamless upper for
lightweight support, and a luggy, purpose-built outsole for extra
traction. Helly Hansen’s proprietary Helly Grip rubber compounds
ensure a solid grip on rocks, roots, and slick trails while the
boot’s dual-compound EVA midsole provides the perfect blend of
cushioning, comfort, and stability.

The sturdy, lightweight toe and heel cap combined with the fulllength footbed plate keep feet stable and well protected from the
