Colwyn Bay F.C & KICK IT Sports North Wales Junior Tournament 2014 Dear Manager/Coach, I would like to invite you and your team to the Colwyn Bay FC/ KICK IT Sports North Wales Junior Tournament. The tournament will be held at: Colwyn Bay FC Football Pitch. Llanelian Road Old Colwyn Conwy LL29 8UN The tournament will be for Under U7’s, U8’s, U9’s and Under 11’s age groups. How the tournament will work!! The tournament will held at Colwyn Bay FC’s Football Pitch over two weekends. Under 7’s & Under 8’s Under 9’s Under 11’s Under 12’s 22nd June 2014 21st June 2014 28th June 2014 29th June 2014 All tournaments will run as a league format with the top two teams from each league going through to the semi final, then final. There will be 6 teams in each league, with two leagues per age group (total of 12 teams for each age group). e.g. 6 teams per league, two leagues per age group, top two teams from each league take a playoff format and will play Semi-Final and Final which will decide the Winner of the tournament. What happens at the tournament? All teams who enter into the tournament will have the opportunity to receive free tickets to come and watch Colwyn Bay F.C during the 2014/15 (full team accompanied by one adult). Every player will go away with a medal, all teams that finish 3rd, 4th, 5th & 6th within the league will receive BRONZE Medals, teams that finish 3rd & 4th in the knockout phase will receive BRONZE Medals, the team that finishes 2nd will receive SILVER Medals and the winner will receive GOLD Medals plus a trophy. Any damage caused to the facilities will be charged and the immediate payment will be requested for the restoration. If the tournament is affected by circumstances such as adverse weather conditions the tournament organisers will decide how the tournament will progress. The FIFA on pitch dress code will be applied: o No socks around ankles o Shin pads must be worn o No earring, chains, watches or jewellery to be worn Match referees will be appointed by KICK IT Sports and Colwyn Bay F.C and will be under the jurisdiction of KICK IT Sports and Colwyn Bay F.C. If in the opinion of the referee there is a clash of colours, the teams shall toss and coin to determine which shall change strip/wear bibs. All matches will be 10 minutes long (ONE way). In the event of a draw at the end of the tournament a final match will decide the winners followed by a penalty shootout will determine the winners if needed. The tournament will run as a league format with 3 points for a win, 1 for a draw. Should the teams be equal on points, the organisers will determine the team positions in the table based on; A - goal difference, B – goals scored, C – results between teams, D – Play off match. The top 2 teams in each group will go into the semi final. No penalties will be awarded within normal time or extra time. All free kicks within the game are in-direct. Any protest or complaint must be made to team organisers immediately on announcement of result (Full time whistle). All teams are to register on the day before the tournament begins at (9:30am) prompt. The tournament will start at (10:00am). All parents must stay in the stand; only match officials, managers and players are allowed on the pitches. No alcohol is allowed on or around the pitches.
